Mediation is a way to put conflict in the past. Most of us have experienced interpersonal conflict in our relationships at work, home, and in our communities. Ongoing conflict can add stress and difficulty to our lives and can get in the way of our happiness and well-being.
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a mediator empowers people to move through conflict and find desirable outcomes. A mediator is a neutral party who works with those in conflict to discuss the issues at hand and explore various ways in which a dispute may be resolved. A mediator does not act as a lawyer, judge, or jury; decide what is right or wrong; or tell you what to do. It is a mediator’s role to listen to all parties involved, to facilitate communication, and to help the parties to gain a better understanding of one another’s perspective, with a goal of finding resolution.
I offer mediation services both In-Person and via Zoom.
